
To make the best steakhouse burgers at home, just keep it simple. For this, steakhouse burger recipe, it is all about the beef, and it doesn’t need many toppings.
Ingredients
- 2 pieces of white sandwich bread, crust removed, and cut into 1/4-inch pieces
- 1/3 cup milk
- 2 1/2 teaspoons kosher salt
- 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 1/2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 3 pounds 80/20 ground beef
- 3 scallions, finely sliced (optional)
- 8 hamburger buns
Toppings: tomato slices, Lettuce, onions and pickles.
Directions
1- In a large bowl, use fork to mash together bread and milk until it forms a chunky paste.
2- Add the salt, pepper, garlic, Worcestershire, sauce, and ketchup to the bread mixture and mix well.
3- Add the beef and scallions to the bread mixture. Use your hands to gently combine all the ingredients. Then form 8 equal sized patties with a slight dimple in the center to prevent them from doming.
4- Light a grill or preheat a grill pan. Grill over moderate heat, turning once, until nearly cooked through, about 6 minutes total.
5- Toast buns on grill, about 1 minute.
6- Serve burgers on toasted buns with Lettuce, tomato, onion and pickles.
